The Glenturret Retains Two Michelin Stars

The Glenturret Retains Two Michelin Stars

We are delighted to announce that The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant has retained its Two Michelin Stars in the 2026 Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland ceremony held on Monday 9th February.

This recognition highlights the dedication, passion, and creativity of Scottish, Executive Chef Mark Donald and his talented team.

Mark Donald, who has honed his craft in some of the world’s most celebrated kitchens, brings a bold, visionary approach to his cuisine. His ability to blend Scotland’s exceptional produce with global influences has been pivotal in shaping the restaurant’s success.
Nestled within Scotland’s oldest working distillery, The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant opened in 2021, pioneering a new concept by combining fine dining with whisky heritage. Under Mark’s leadership, the restaurant received its first Michelin Star just seven months after opening and was awarded a second star in February 2024.

Executive Chef Mark Donald comments on this continued success:

"To maintain two Michelin Stars is a reflection of the hard work, innovation, and care that goes into every dish we create. It’s an honour to continue showcasing the incredible potential of Scotland’s natural larder and offering an experience that resonates with our guests. I’d also like to extend my congratulations to this year’s newly awarded and retained Michelin-starred restaurants—your vision and dedication to exceptional food continue to inspire us all."

With views overlooking the River Turret, the ancient grounds of the distillery surround the dining room. Mark and his team enjoy the benefits of Scotland's larder on their doorstep and have close ties with artisanal growers, producers, breeders and fishers, often foraging themselves.

The menu showcases the very best ingredients from throughout Scotland, the wider UK and, where applicable, beyond. There is playfulness in Chef Mark Donald's dishes. Still, there is balance, precision and an innate sense of place in their execution.

Guests can extend their visit with an overnight stay at Aberturret House, The Glenturret’s elegant onsite accommodation, available Wednesday to Saturday or for exclusive use by arrangement.

This achievement celebrates The Glenturret’s ongoing commitment to culinary excellence and the values at the heart of The Glenturret: craftsmanship, authenticity, and an uncompromising pursuit of quality.

The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant is open for reservations from Wednesday to Saturday throughout 2026 at theglenturretrestaurant.com.
